Big Rols,thank you for everything. You were an amazing close friend to many, and everybody’s friend throughout medical school. You made everyone laugh and smile on a daily basis, and you brought a special slice of sunshine and happiness to our course. One of my favourite Roly stories was during 2nd year OSCEs…where you were meant to be examining a patient who had lost the ability to speak. You dropped your pen and bent down to pick it up, and hit your knee on the corner of the table. A minute later this mute patient exclaimed
“mate you’re bleeding and your pants are torn – better sort that out!”
