Just wanted to let you know that Roland’s passing has had a far-reaching impact on the cricket community here in Darwin.
I also wanted you to know that Kingy was moved to organise a nice tribute to Roland before the A-Grade game today between Southern Districts and Waratahs. He spoke about Roland and gave me the opportunity to say a few words also. Then he arranged for the players to to observe a minutes silence prior to the game. It was really nice – though sad and confronting. I hope you are getting by and I hope the good stories about your great mate are flowing.
